According to a new StatsCan report, 24% of Canadian adults report persistent oral pain, with those in lower-income families being the most affected. 22.4% of Canadians avoided seeing a dental professional in the past year because of cost. Those without insurance were three times more likely to avoid dental care because of cost than those with insurance.

73% of Canadians brush their teeth twice or more a day, and only 28% floss five times a week.

72.5% of seniors in Canada reported having a dental visit in the past 12 months. 56.3% of seniors who had not visited a dental professional in three years said it was unnecessary, and 30.8% said cost was the main barrier.
