Strathcona Health Society is a charitable non-profit society that operates Strathcona Community Dental Clinic. The clinic provides quality dental services to low income families. The clinic is focused on providing dental services to children in the inner city of Vancouver.

Our non-profit clinic provides high quality dental care to children, their families and seniors. We also provide prevention and dental health information and nutritional counseling.

The lively clinic, located in Strathcona Elementary School, features children’s art, indoor and outdoor play areas and three operational chairs. It also plays a key role in the work of an active community based not-for-profit – Strathcona Health Society (SHS).

We are located between Strathcona Community Centre and Strathcona Elementary School.

Clinic Hours

Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM

Eligibility

We accept all private and government insurance plans including NIHB if the patient meets our eligibility requirement. We do not treat adults without children between the ages of 19 and 64 years of age.

Whether you are bringing a child for their first visit to the dentist, a parent having your teeth cleaned, or you are a senior needing a denture rebuilt, our clinic provides the very best care.

For Children

Our dentists are highly experienced in dealing with children. Our child friendly clinic makes any child feel comfortable during their visit to the dentist. Our dentists put the dental health of the child at the forefront and can explain each step to the child and their parent so that there is a clear understanding of all procedures. Even in the most difficult cases we provide the parent with all the information and will refer to the very best dentists in Vancouver for specialized procedures at the most reasonable prices.

For Parents

We provide a wide range of treatment to help maintain your teeth in the very best condition.

For Seniors

We provide a 20% discount for seniors in the community who have no dental coverage. We also have staff that will speak to seniors from the neighbourhood in their own languages including Cantonese and Mandarin. The dental clinic is fully wheelchair accessible.
